Bicycle Safety Rodeo

Join Kenly Parks and Recreation, the Kenly Police Department, the Kenly Public Library, and the Kenly Volunteer Fire Department for a fun and educational Bicycle Safety Rodeo!

This FREE community event is designed to help children become safer, more confident bicycle riders while having a great time. Participants will rotate through several hands-on safety stations led by the Kenly Police Department. 

Event Details

  • Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Location: KAPARC, 408 S. College Avenue, Kenly, NC
  • Cost: FREE

Activities Include:

  • 🚲 Bicycle Safety Inspections
  • 🚦 Interactive Bicycle Safety Course
  • 🪖 Professional Helmet Fit Clinic

Every registered participant will receive a FREE bicycle safety helmet (while supplies last), professionally fitted to help ensure the best possible protection.

At the conclusion of the event, two lucky registered participants will each win a bicycle!

Whether your child is just learning to ride or has been riding for years, this event is a great opportunity to improve bicycle safety skills, learn the rules of the road, and enjoy an evening with family and friends.

Advance registration is required so we can ensure enough helmets and supplies are available. We look forward to seeing you at KAPARC for an evening of fun, learning, and safe riding!

 
Waivers
Liability Release and Waiver
In consideration of my child/ward being permitted to participate in The Town of Kenly Parks
and Recreation sports programs and activities, I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, acknowledge and understand that participation in athletic and recreational activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, or accident.
 
I hereby voluntarily assume all risks associated with my child’s participation, whether such risks are known or unknown, and agree to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the Town of Kenly, its Parks and Recreation Department, officers, employees, volunteers, coaches, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may be sustained by my child while participating in these activities, including travel to and from activities.
 
I certify that my child is physically able to participate and has no medical condition that would prevent safe participation, or that such conditions have been disclosed in writing. I grant permission for emergency medical treatment if necessary and accept financial responsibility for any medical care provided.
 
I, as the Parent/Guardian of the minor child being registered to participate in a youth recreation program with Kenly Parks and Recreation, give my permission for the use of my child's name and photographs in The Parks and Recreation Department’s publications both print and electronic- i.e. newspaper articles, social media posts, brochures and promotional materials.

By submitting this registration, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the registered participant. I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the Liability Release and Waiver for Youth Athletics and Recreation. I voluntarily consent to my child’s participation in all program activities and assume all risks associated with participation.

I further agree that this electronic acknowledgment constitutes my legal signature and has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature.
